OUR STORY

Hi, I'm Angela Battrick, Founder and Director of Skinny Malinky.

I'm on a mission to help fashion-conscious women with larger shoe sizes find beautiful shoes that fit both their feet and their style.

Having struggled to find stylish shoes all my life, I was finally inspired to take action during a summer holiday when my daughters were turned away by a well-known high street retailer who did not stock school shoes large enough for them. At the time, they were only 14 and 12 years old.

I couldn't believe that the footwear industry still hadn't caught up, despite growing evidence that women's shoe sizes are getting larger.

Skinny Malinky is launching with an initial focus on UK sizes 8–10, but I am passionate about understanding the full picture of demand for larger-sized women's footwear across the UK.
